Course Overview

Participants will learn how to perform specimen screening and collection for onsite drug and alcohol testing, using recognised methods that comply with:

  • AS/NZS 4760:2019 (oral fluid testing)
  • AS/NZS 4308:2008 (urine testin
  • g)
  • AS3547:2019 (breath alcohol testing using handheld breathalyser units)

The course includes comprehensive training in the following areas:

  • Organisational guidelines and compliance with current drug and alcohol screening standards
  • Planning and preparation for workplace testing (urine, oral fluid, and breath alcohol)
  • Work Health and Safety (WHS) responsibilities and duty of care

Assessment & Practical Components
