Course Overview

This nationally recognised course is designed to equip participants with the essential skills and knowledge required to operate an excavator safely and effectively within the civil construction industry. The training also provides a pathway to employment in related sectors such as mining and agriculture.

Participants will gain a thorough understanding of key operational procedures, including risk management, safety and control protocols, attachment usage, basic maintenance, and safe operation across a range of worksite conditions. Upon successful completion, participants will be well-prepared to contribute to the safety and productivity of any project involving excavator operations.

Verification of Competency (VOC) assessments are also available for experienced operators seeking formal recognition of their skills.

This course is delivered face-to-face through a combination of classroom-based theoretical instruction and practical, hands-on training.
