Course Overview

This nationally recognised course—commonly referred to as a “Bobcat ticket”—is designed to provide participants with the practical skills and theoretical knowledge required to operate a skid steer loader safely and efficiently within the construction industry. Successful completion of this course qualifies participants for roles in earthmoving and opens pathways to employment in the civil, mining, and landscape construction sectors.

The program covers a comprehensive range of topics, including risk management, control procedures, attachment handling, basic maintenance, and the safe operation of skid steer loaders in various site conditions. Training is designed to ensure participants are well-prepared for the operational demands of real-world worksites.

Verification of Competency (VOC) assessments are also available for experienced operators seeking formal recognition of their abilities.

This course is delivered face-to-face, combining classroom-based theory with hands-on practical training.
